Remage is a browser extension that works seamlessly in the background after installation. When you attempt to upload an image on any website (such as GitHub, Upwork, and more) and the upload is rejected due to file size or dimension limits, Remage automatically detects the error. It then displays a clean, centered popup with simple options to resize or compress your image. Once you click “Apply,” Remage optimizes and re-uploads the image for you—no need to manually select the file again or leave the page. The process is fast, private, and removes the hassle of fixing and re-uploading images.

2. Universal Compatibility

Remage uses a multi-layered detection system to work across virtually every website. It combines DOM scanning, network monitoring, file input tracking, and more to identify upload errors. I maintain a comprehensive error pattern library and adapt to site-specific quirks for maximum compatibility. While I strive for universal coverage, some rare or highly custom sites may require manual intervention.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use Remage only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable website terms and policies. You are responsible for your conduct and for ensuring that your use of Remage does not violate any third-party rights.

4. Privacy & Security

Remage processes images locally in your browser using secure, modern web technologies. No images or personal data are sent to any server. Your settings and error patterns are stored securely using browser storage APIs. I do not collect or share your data.

5. Updates & Feedback

Remage is regularly updated to support new websites and error patterns. I welcome user feedback and error reports to improve compatibility. By using Remage, you agree to receive extension updates automatically.
